About this Event

Sponsored by the Staffordshire Commissioner

We are delighted to welcome Dr Carlene Firmin MBE, Principal Research Fellow, University of Bedfordshire who will deliver a presentation on Contextual Safeguarding along with SPACE a self-funded organisation founded in January 2018, in response to the national prevalence of Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE) and the County Lines phenomenon which has entrenched thousands of young children into serious violence and organised crime.

Our colleagues from Research in Practice who provide supporting evidence informed practice with children and families will be presenting, and Catch 22 and other colleagues with lived experience will lead a workshop exploring the current situation. A second workshop explains in detail how practitioners can spot the signs and work through the process.

Everything you need to know about identifying, assessing and reporting child exploitation.
